Richard (Rich) Ball is an entrepreneur, executive, and business leader. He was an area manager with Crown Books at the time of its collapse in spring 2001. He briefly assisted Books-A-Million with their acquisition of 18 former Crown Books stores before founding The Page's Edge in fall 2001. In 2001 and 2002, Ball was featured in several articles in regional papers as an example of the "new entrepreneur" in the post-dotcom world. The articles largely focused on his new model of business, which relied on Net-90 wholesaleing (selling goods purchased on 90-day invoices, and collecting funds from purchasers before invoices were due - thus never expending of the Company's capital). Ball is a member of the Springfield, VA Chamber of Commerce.
