Revise n Learn tutors (RLT) is a black owned South African tutoring company which provides tutoring services to primary, high-school and university students. RLT as it is usually abbreviated offers a number of different tutoring packages to cater for different needs of different students. Offering in-class tutoring and individual tutoring RLT was started by two WITS university students (Lawrence Vusa Nyathi and Sbongiseni Lungisani Zulu) after they realised the shocking decline in the matric pass rate of the year 2013 (78.2%) and 2014 (75.8%) This was a drop of about 3% meaning an extra 15 000 students had failed matric. They made it part of their mission to improve such statistics and thus the birth of RLT. RLT offers a range of packages to suite individual needs of students, the main two being in-class tutoring and individual tutoring .In-class tutoring which takes place on Saturdays at a convenient venue to a class of ten to 15 students . These classes combine students from different schools and allow for diversification of information and aid in understanding of the material to a larger group. Individual tutoring are for those students who prefer one-on-one interaction with their tutors. In such cases tutors get to meet students at students at the students chosen venue. These classes involve going out to individual students to provide them with one on one training and tutoring, and to also provide individual attention to the student. We can also cater for any individual who might have failed a subject in school or university and provide them with tutoring classes to better their future and succeed in their second attempt What makes RLT different from other tutoring institutions lies in the fact that it was founded by students for students, which means we understand the hardships that students go through and as such are better equipped to help them, RLT aims to deal with the problem before it becomes a problem (training students to study better and thereby fixing the problem at its core). We have found that there is a need for more patient individuals to assist our children and South Africa at large. Our innovative methods thus seek to address this key issue. our mission is to improve the quality of education in South Africa, increase the success rate of matriculants, university students, primary school students and all individuals looking to attain any form of education in South Africa. We want to close the education gap between matric and university to make the transition for students easier and to create an environment of encouragement and successful learning. We are committed to building an educated and more intellectual South Africa
