Rev.Dr.Cornelius Dwayne Jones

Born August 4,1979, Rev.Dr.Cornelius Dwayne JonesA ordained minister and founder of 1st Family Counseling Services was born the 4th of 5 children.He was raised between Atlanta, GA. and Grenada MS. As a child he was very curious and often found himself in compromising situations.At only 15 years of age Cornelius was charged as an adult for his involvement in organized crimes, ranging from commercial burglary, aggravated assault,and felony gun charges.The charges would later be reduced by the Grenada county district attorney's office and the case was turned back over the the juvenile court system.As a result for his role in the mis-behavior, he was sent to the Oakley Training School for boys located in Raymond,MS . Once released Cornelius began to make adjustment in his life as he returned to high school to complete his high school diploma. He later attended Florida State University located in Tallahassee,FL. after two years of college he decided to take a break from school and joined the United States Navy. While serving in the U.S.Navy he continued with his educational goals and in 2005 completed his in Sociology through the University of Hartford located in East Hartford,CT.. After graduation he attended the University of Oklahoma graduate school before transfering to National University located in San Diego,CA. where he earned a masters in human relations.Cornelius went on to pursue his doctoral degree through Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary, located in Newburgh,IN.
Rev.Cornelius Jones was raised as a baptist,and continued to worship as a baptist as he attended New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, located in Lithonia,GA as he studied under Bishop Eddie Long.
Rev.Jones later converted to the Non-Denominational faith as he attended Universal Ministries located in Belford,IL.Rev.Dr.Cornelius Jones a Non-Denominational Minister,community activist,active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Seminary Professor at United Theological Seminary and Bible College campus in Alexandria, LA, and radio host.Rev.Dr.Jones is a sworn member of the Rapides Parish Neighborhood Accountability Board with the 9TH Juridiction in Alexandria, LA. where the members strive to help young people get their lives back on track.
