Reptile71
Biography
Reptile71 is a solo-project of Paul Tetteroo (born December 6, 1971). He is a Dutch artist who has recorded a number of songs in previous years. These songs (in their original form) could already be found all over the internet but a few months ago Paul made the decision to put together a compilation album consisting of 11 songs recorded between 2000-2003. This meant reviewing some of the songs, mastering all the songs and sometimes adding or removing instruments, voices and sounds, which resulted in the collaboration with Feeding Fingers frontman Justin Curfman on the song "Always a Way". This album has been officially released on January 1, 2009.
The album is called: “In Dust: 2000-2003”
Paul has been using the name Reptile71 for several years now, he can be found on many websites concerning music. His music can be listened to on sites as Lastfm (http://www.last.fm/music/Reptile71) and Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/reptile71)
Besides being an artist, Paul also owns a web-shop called Sounds For Sure (http://www.soundsforsure.eu). Sounds for Sure is also the name of his own record label.
“In Dust: 2000-2003” is not the first release on this label. Paul has also had a part in realising, promoting and distributing Dutch new wave alternative band Cradle’s Official Bootleg. (http://www.myspace.com/cradlespace)
This release would not have been able hadn’t it been for the Dutch database/discussionsite "Musicmeter" (http://www.musicmeter.nl). Because of a pre-sale action organised by Paul the dreamed of release could be made reality. And now, with his release of “In Dust: 2000-2003” "Musicmeter" again proved a valuable site.
There have already been some reviews of the album by people who have purchased it in pre-sale, some key-words mentioned in those reviews: Hopeful, post-punk, minimalistic, dreamy, powerful vocals, mantra, mysterious, warm yet distant, dark, hypnotizing, emotion, balanced.

These reviews (in Dutch) can be found on:(http://www.musicmeter.nl/album/143525).
Influences named by Paul himself are:Joy Division, The Cure, early OMD, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, New Order, Talk Talk, Depeche Mode, The Wake (UK), The Mission, U2, Cranes, etc. etc. 80's new wave in general.
