Reox is a spin-off of Dairygold Co-Op set up in May 2006. Reox consists of Consumer Foods, DIY and Property. In addition, Reox Holdings plc has a large investment in the SWS group. On 22 December 2006 SWS sold its non-agricultural businesses to for €110 million. In 2009 Reox sold its consumer foods business to Kerry Group for €140m after successfully defeating a Competition Authority ban on the transaction. It closed its retail business after suffering huge losses. In November 2009 Eoin McGettigan, formerly of Dunnes Stores and Musgraves, was appointed to head up the business. That business now consists of a food business in Holland and a property company. REOX also stands for REO Exchange, a company that provide real estate owned (REO) exchange platform that connect Brokers and Realtors with Asset Mangers in the real estate industry. REO stands for bank owned homes that have gone through foreclosure and now belong to the banks REO Exchange is a cooperative that brings broker agents and valuable bank contacts together to foster long-term business relationships to benefit both sides. Designed to assist asset managers in finding truly qualified broker agents to serve their REO properties, REO Exchange is endorsed by asset managers nationwide who use this site as an effective tool to search a large and comprehensive list of brokers. REO Exchange is a one-stop media source that is not limited to the members of an organization of overwhelmed, overworked REO brokers or those who have signed up with a portal to receive properties yet have not experience to close the deals and create the right relationships. REO in recent year have come to mean Real Estate Owned, which is a property that the bank has foreclosured and now owned. a REO can be a residential home or a commercial property. A large industry have been developed around the REO phenomenon. As U.S. housing market and commercial property continue to increase throughout 2010 and into 2011, more and more house will bypass short sell and loan remod and enter the foreclosure stage. In this stage a home or commercial property is known as an REO or bank owned.
