Renz Baluyot

Renz Baluyot (born on 1989 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia), is a young contemporary Filipino artist whose regarded to be one of the emerging artists of his generation. He became a finalist in the 41st Shell National Students Art Competition. His paintings have been displayed for exhibit in various galleries all over the metro, including Ayala Museum, West Gallery, Art Galileia, Galerie Anna, Now Gallery, Tam-awan Village and in the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila.
Education
Baluyot graduated in 2011 armed with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, major in Painting from the College of Fine Arts, University of the Philippines-Diliman. He is a member of Omega, a Manila-based artists group, which started as a student art group from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and then created partnership with Tam-Awan Village.
Personal life
Baluyot’s childhood interest was art. He grew up creating art as he has shown talent in it. Then he acquired formal training in various methods of production and essential theories to pursue his passion. He continues to learn, explore and create more.
Influences
Renz Baluyot's works were influenced by many artists and usually by the everday: experiences, conversation with other people, etc. He is inspired by the little things which weighted enough and are the bases for deeper and complicated things.
Blogs featuring random images (not necessarily art related, just pure random-fest), contemporary art magazines, music, books influence him too.
Things that makes him think,inspires him, no matter what form those things are when he perceive them.
