Rebelbots is a rebellion group based on the fundamentals of peaceful rebellion. Founded in Fall, 2007, they seek to rebel against unfair rule in government and education in a very different way than most rebellions.
History of RebelBots The rebellion was first sparked in an early college high school called Utah County Academy of Sciences (UCAS), based on the Utah Valley State College (UVSC) campus. In early November of 2007, an unnamed student was denied the right to display his art piece of a robot in the school hallway. The UCAS administration removed the art from the wall and destroyed it. After several requests by the particular student to have the art returned to him were denied, he displayed posters to other students concerning the matter. Within days, all of these posters were destroyed as well.
This sparked the idea of a rebellion against the administration, but wishing to do so non-violently, he formed the RebelBots group, based on the concept of peaceful rebellion. Since then, many students have joined the RebelBots, and actively participate in the RebelBots blog and forum. By January 2008, the popularity of the rebellion group had skyrocketed, even beyond the school it was founded in.
