Raymond Ablack

Raymond Ablack (born November 12, 1989) is a Canadian actor best known for his role of Sav Bhandari in Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Personal life
Raymond Ablack has a first-degree black belt in Goju Ryu Karate Do, Kobudo (weaponry), and Jujutsu (ground-fighting). Raymond plays punk rock, ska, and reggae music with his band "SoundSpeed". Both of his parents are Indo-Guyanese.
Ablack is currently studying psychology at Ryerson University.
Career
Ablack has appeared in TV commercials since the age of eleven and played the role of Young Simba in the theatre production of The Lion King at the Princess of Wales theatre in Toronto before landing his role on Degrassi. He also sang the national anthem at a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game.
Raymond recently traveled to Africa with five Degrassi cast members to build a school in Kenya with the Free The Children organization. A documentary of Raymond and his castmates' trip aired on MTV in Canada in the fall of 2007. Raymond had a guest appearance as a boy at a house party in the episode Truman's Last Chance of Life with Derek.
