Rashaan Melvin

Rashaan Melvin (born October 2, 1989) is an American football cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He played college football at Northern Illinois.

Melvin and Angela Webb are the parents of Rashaan Melvin and he was born on October 2, 1989, in Waukegan, Illinois.
High School football
Melvin attended Waukegan High School (Waukegan, Illinois). He caught 58 passes for 585 yards as wide receiver and made 70 tackles, caught eight interceptions and scored three defensive touchdowns as a cornerback during his senior season. He was named first-team Central Suburban League South and first-team Lake County News Sun as a wide receiver. He also lettered in basketball as a team captain and two-year varsity starter.
Professional career
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On April 29, 2013, Melvin was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Melvin had an outstanding training camp and preseason which led him to make the 53 man roster during the cuts.
