Ramey Ko

Ramey Ko is an American lawyer and educator. He is the current Associate Judge of the City of Austin Municipal Court.
Ko was born in Carrollton, Texas to parents, Eric and Eileen Ko, who immigrated from Taiwan. In December 2006, he founded Asian Americans for Obama, a national grassroots organization that organized the Asian American community in support of campaign and now agenda. He also co-founded and serves as president of the Capital Area Asian American Democrats.
On February 5, 2010, he was appointed by the Austin city council to serve in a part-time, four-year term position as a substitute municipal judge for the city. As a result, this made him the city's first Asian American judge.
