Rajgopal Sharma is a highly decorated Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 1994 batch. He has won the Finance Minister's Gold Medal for Best Probationer. He is currently on deputation to the Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari. He has held key posts during his tenure in Mumbai and Delhi. He has also held a post at the Embassy of India in Belgium as the advisor. He has diverse experience of working in assessment charges like investigation wing, TDS, vigilance, etc. One of the key posts held by him outside his department was his central deputation as director in the Ministry of Commerce.
