Rajendra Nakod, born on 10 October 1969, is an Indian musician. His father Pandit Arjunsa Nakod is a vocalist of Kirana gharana and Gwalior gharana. Rajendra’s brothers Pt. Raghunath Nakod, Balachandra Nakod and Vishwanath Nakod are artists at All India Radio. Early life Rajendra got chance to practice the classical rooted music from a young age, Rajendra’s beginning instruction was under his father and brothers. He formalized his learning in tabla by attain in musical exams conducted by Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy, which is run by Government of Karnataka. Rajendra had historical roots in traditional music especially in Tabla, he blends traditional conservation with contemporary styles during his public concerts. Rajendra has performed in music festivals like Sawai Gandharv Punyatithi in Pune , Spirit of Unity concerts, Akashavani Sangeet Sammelan, National Programme of Music, Delhi International Music Festival, Indo-Arab Music Festival, Dubai, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Maholsav Varanasi and Idea Jalsa - a popular classical program on DD National. Rajendra has performed in countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Singapore and Arab states of the Persian Gulf. Brief performing history Rajendra Nakod has performed with artists such as Gana Bhanu Pt.Puttaraj Gawai, Late Dr.Basavaraj Rajguru, Pt.Shivkumar Sharma, Grammy award winner, Mohan veena player Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Begam Parween Sultana, Kalai Mamani Dr. Kadri Gopalnath, Pt. Ullas Kashalkar, Arati Anklikar, Veena Sahasrabudhe, Pt. Ronu Majumdar, Dr. Prabha Atre, Anup Jalota, Pt. Vinayak Torvi, Pt. Parameshwar Hegde, Ubhaya Gana Vidushi Shyamala G. Bhave, Rafique Khan , and Shafique Khan.
