Sadhana J

Sadhana J. (Birth Date: 05th September, 1962) is an Indian classical singer.

Background
Sadhana J. commenced her formal training in music from 7 years of age in Bhopal at the 'Sadhana Sangeet Mahavidyalay', affiliated to Khairagarh University. Thereafter, she learned Hindustani classical in Ujjain from Pandit Ramakant Dube. She has been receiving special training in Ghazal Singing, Urdu Diction and Voice Modulation from Pandit Ustad Om Prakash Sharma, for more than 17 years now. She has also learnt music from the renowned music director, Kuldeep Singh.

Educational Life
Sadhana J. took her education seriously as well and hence did her Masters in Sociology. Sadhana also completed her Bachelors in Music from Khairagarh University (University for Dance and Music.) where she was awarded with a Gold medal during the year 1992-1993.

Work Life
Sadhana J. has been singing in the Ghazal genre for AIR, Indore, since 1992. She also participated in the musical reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma during the year 1996. She has performed on stage nationally and internationally with various artists. Sadhana J. was one of the lucky few to sing at reputed festivals like Kalidas Samaroh and Shravan Mahotsav in Ujjain. Recently, she sang for the album ‘Khaamoshiyan’, which is composed by Grammy winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and released by Times Music.
