Rainbow Dash

Rainbow Dash is a G4 Pegasus (Earth Pony in G3) from My Little Pony. She is one of the most well-known of the ponies, and has appeared in My Little Pony Live.
Poses
Rainbow Dash was released more than five times. Her first two releases were in 2003, facing left and right, respectively. The next release was Tea Time with Rainbow Dash, a Pretty Pony Fashion. The fourth release was an accessory set: Ponyville Picnic with Rainbow Dash. Her fifth release was in the year 2007, when she was rereleased in the Favorite Friends set, along with Pinkie Pie, Sunny Daze, and Wysteria. This time, she has a color gradient on her left hind leg. She also has been released many times in the new uniform pose as part of the Core 7.
Many other versions of Rainbow Dash exist; a tiny tin, plushes, and many Ponyville miniatures to name just a few. Rainbow Dash is featured very prominently on merchandise, particularly post-2007 merchandise.
Animation
Rainbow Dash was a 1st edition rainbow pony. Rainbow Dash has been featured in nearly all the My Little Pony DVDs. Her body was beautiful light blue and rainbow mane that support colors Dark pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and rainbow with clouds symbol. She is very glitzy, loves to adventure, and obsesses with anything rainbows. She is voiced by Venus Terzo in all the cartoons and in the Live show. Her trademark quote is "Darling", and she has a posh-British accent in all pre-Core 7 movies.
The Runaway Rainbow
Though none of the DVDs starred Rainbow Dash, exclusively, The Runaway Rainbow did feature her the most out of all the movies. She, Minty, Pinkie Pie, and Spike the dragon help Rarity get back to her home in Unicornia, so that she can create the first rainbow of the season.
Rainbow Dash is used more sparingly than characters like the notable Pinkie Pie and Minty. This is surprising since she was used far more often on early merchandise than Minty. Rainbow Dash has appeared and had a speaking role in the majority of MLP videos to date. She is a major character, but has had a tiny impact on the plots in comparison to Pinkie Pie.
Core 7 Impact
Rainbow Dash was selected to be one of the 7 stars of the MLP line. Although she is supposedly the second most promoted character in the Core 7 (after main character Pinkie Pie), Rainbow Dash appears slightly less frequently in merchandise than characters such as Scootaloo and Starsong.
Rainbow Dash's character was given a complete overhaul for the Core 7. Starting in 2007 (a very pony place), her accent was removed and she was given a trademark American/Canadian accent. In lieu of "darlings", she now quips her new catch phrase, "dashing". Instead of being the adventurous rainbow-rider she used to be, she is now only a glamour girl and fashion expert. She still remains obsessed with rainbows and pretty colors, true to the original Rainbow Dash.
