Ray Lavender

Ray Lavender is an American R&B singer who goes by the stage name Ray-L. He is signed to Akon's record label Kon Live Distribution through UpFront Records. He is getting set to release his debut studio album, X-Rayted released in 2009.

History

Lavender has changed his stage name several times in a very short period of time, first being Earl Ray, then L.A Ray, then RayBlack and now finally Ray-L. He is mostly known for his song "Doing Doing" featuring Akon and DL2 DayLyric. Other tracks that he has done are "Hush", "Checkin' My Phone" and "Deez Nutz". He wrote a song for his label mate Chilli's upcoming album titled "No Rings on These Fingers" but Chilli never recorded it.
X-Rayted
The release date of his debut album, titled X-Rayted, has been repeatedly pushed back, initially set for release in September 2007. However, according to a November 2007 interview with middlechildpromotions.com, Ray himself stated that although no specific release date has been set, he expects the album will be available sometime in the "future".
