History
Radiophonic Music is a genre of music that relates to sound created electronically using field recordings that are then manipulated to create their own sounds and effects, also known as musique concrete used in radio programs for broadcast music and also musical pieces as well. It is famously known from 1960s when the department of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop coined the term. But, can be argued that it was first used by Pierre Schaeffer in his Essai Radiophoniques (Studio d'Essai) and then taken up by the BBC to describe their famous BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Musicians who work in radiophonic genre include the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Daphne Oram, Delia Derbyshire, etc.
Techniques:
Early techniques in this field were using Tape manipulation tools such as tape recorders. Sounds were created by using recordings of everyday sounds.
