Radio Panik

Radio Panik (105.4 FM) is a free radio station (Community radio) from Brussels. It's an associative radio of expression, creation and it's also a multi- & intercultural radio. Radio Panik was created in 1983 by a group of individuals who fought racism and promoted human rights. Since then it has been a radio dedicated to creation, current music and expression of minorities.
Radio Panik was one of the first "free radios" which defined themselves as "militant" because of their action in favour of a critical approach of the information. Its main goal has always been a local implementation, in a social and cultural level, and the radio still is, as today, a communication tool whose different positioning supports freedom, independence and diversity.
Radio Panik has managed to juggle between international and local news, information and creation and has opened a "space without borders" for the different communities in Brussels, a space opened to "parallel opinions".
The radio station has had several different addresses in Brussels (Saint-Josse & Schaerbeek).
