Rachel Echelberger is a 19-year-old model, known for her appearance on the thirteenth season of America's Next Top Model. Although she did not make it very far on the hit reality series, after the show, she has reached success as a model, immediately being signed with BMG Models after the show. Family Life Rachel was born on October 30, 1990 in Monterey, California and grew up in a Christian family with her parents and siblings. Her parents split up during her childhood and her mother remarried, Rachel is happy with her mother's new husband and has grown comfortable with the situation. Her family, especially her mother, Cheri has great faith in her as a model, describing her as a committed young girl with a strong heart. America's Next Top Model Before America's Next Top Model, Cycle 13, Rachel worked in Customer Service for Wal-Mart in Woodland, California. She says she had always wanted to try out for the show since the first season, and fortunately, when she turned 18, the show was casting for shorter models at 5'7" and under. Rachel was a popular contestant in the first episodes, being said to have a "unique face" by the judges at casting week. It was the third episode, at a meeting with Wilhelmina Models, where she was eliminated. Rachel revealed her musical theater background, and when asked to sing by the agency's president, Sean Patterson, broke under pressure. Therefore, she was considered un-charismatic and was eliminated outside of judging panel. She quoted after her elimination, "This is the end of an opportunity, not a dream." Post America's Next Top Model Life Rachel was featured on the Cycle 13 special on the Tyra Banks Show, where Tyra expressed her disappointment of her elimination. The president of BMG Models presented Rachel with a 3 year contract with the agency.
