Quiltro is a common word in Chile and Bolivia to denote street dogs, and mixed-breed dogs. References in popular culture Characters *Washington, the dog from the Condorito comic. Also, was identified recently as a Chilean Fox Terrier. *Glot, the dog from TV series "Diego y Glot". In the episode Kiltro of the series, Glot is humiliated in a contest in which the people rejected it because it was green and quiltro. *Jorge, the dog from TV series Pulentos. *Spike, the dog from the commercial series by Lipigas, a Chilean gas distribution company. Trivia *In some TV commercials from Lipigas, a Chilean gas company, the famous Spike appears with many other dogs simulating rappers ("raperros"), which dance breakdance and sing "Cámbiate al amarillo" (Switch to yellow, the official company color). Also, other commercials for Christmas, summer, Easter, and others were produced. |
