QualPro Inc.

QualPro Inc. is a management-consulting firm based in Knoxville, Tennessee. QualPro utilizes what it calls the MVT® process and a unique implementation approach to help clients improve performance. QualPro has undertaken projects with companies spanning a broad range of industries from manufacturing and retail to government and private equity.
History
1980s
Statistician Charles Holland founded QualPro in 1982, after he gained the approval of his statistical methods by W. Edwards Deming. Holland came up with the concept for the MVT® Process, the process QualPro uses in its process improvement, while working at a Nuclear Weapons plant. Holland then began conducting training seminars to teach others his methods for process improvement. As time passed, QualPro developed into a full-fledged consulting firm, sending out professionals to conduct the MVT® Process. Starting with automotive parts manufacturing, QualPro began to amass more clients and grow in size, eventually branching out into service, logistics, transportation, and billing projects.
1990s to present
By early in the 1990’s, QualPro had begun working with nonmanufacturing processes. Moving into the mid 1990’s QualPro undertook successful projects with the hospital industry. In 1997, QualPro made the big jump into the retail industry, which became its primary source of business as time went on. QualPro continues to work with companies of various sizes and industries, working to improve processes through the use of advanced statistical methods.

Methodology
QualPro uses a specialized statistical process, MVT®, to attempt to optimize business results by testing numerous ideas and changes simultaneously in a real-world setting in order to accurately determine the bottom-line impact of individual and combined ideas.
QualPro claims the MVT® process:
* Tests ideas that are easy, fast, and inexpensive.
* Produce rapid performance breakthroughs
* Works across many industries and be applicable to virtually any business process because it is specifically designed to each business situation.
* Accurately predicts critical business results of process changes.
* Deploys statistical combinations of ideas related to manufacturing, service, operations or marketing into carefully defined, "live in-field" situations.
Proprietary software is used after an experiment to analyze results of an MVT process.
