Qualia is a software company that develops products for the real estate industry, including title production software, a client communications portal, a vendor marketplace, as well as workflow, accounting, and reporting tools. Its real estate digital closing platform is designed to bring all parties involved in a real estate transaction onto one platform. As of January 2020, more than 600,000 title and escrow agents, real estate agents, and mortgage lenders use Qualia to manage purchase and refinance transactions. Qualia is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has offices in Austin, Texas and Superior, Colorado. History Qualia was founded in 2015 by Nate Baker, Joel Gottsegen, and Lucas Hansen. The co-founders wanted to simplify the buying and selling of real estate by making transparent and easy to use software. In December 2020, Qualia announced the acquisition of Adeptive Software, the developer of title and escrow production software Resware. Financing The company raised $33 million in Series B funding in 2018 led by Menlo Ventures with participation from 8VC, Bienville Capital, and Barry Sternlicht, and a $55 million Series C funding in 2019 led by Tiger Global with participation from 8VC, Bienville Capital, and Menlo Ventures. In 2020, it raised $65 million in Series D funding led by Tiger Global and achieved unicorn status.
