QantasLink Flight 1623

On August 23, 2016 at 11:36am, the pilots of a QantasLink Fokker 100 radioed Perth international airpor<nowiki/>t (PER) air traffic control (ATC) that there was smoke coming from the aircraft but didn't issue an emergency landing. ATC then required airport fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency crews to go to the aircraft once it had landed. Moments later the Fokker 100 was on one end of the runway wait for the emergency vehicles. That's when the passengers started to worry "we didn't head for the terminal and shortly after could smell kerosene" Ross Jenkins one of the passengers) told the ABC.The captain then told the crew to go to there positions and then started shouting evacuate many times. 2 people went to Royal Perth hospital in non-priority conditions and that the incident was caused by a hydraulic problem. In the end all 97 people and five crew members were unharmed and an investigation will happen.
