Puckerbutt

Puckerbutt (also known as spicybutt) is a contemporary urban slang term which refers to the intense burning sensation in the rectum and anus, and the associated severe abdominal cramps which result after ingesting extremely spicy chili peppers and then defecating them.
Following ingesting something extremely spicy, the capsaicin binds to TRPV1 receptors. TRPV1 receptors usually detect heat, which is why extremely spicy foods cause a sensation that resembles burning. TRPV1 receptors are everywhere in the human body, and normally react to heat such as from touching a hot stove top. Sweating after eating spicy foods is one reaction caused by the activation of these receptors.
Much of the capsaicin from ingested chili peppers is not digested, and passes through the complete digestive tract. As high levels of capsaicin pass through the digestive tract, it triggers TRPV1 receptors, causing cramps or stomach upset, and an intense burning sensation during defecation after eating something particularly spicy. By the time the digested food reaches the anus, there's still capsaicin in the food waste and it causes intense burning sensations.
Ed Currie, creator of the Carolina Reaper named his company the "Puckerbutt Pepper Company" in reference to the effects of consuming his hot pepper varieties.
