Preveen Pandita (Born: March 24, 1989) is an Indian illusionist, mentalist and escape artist and speaker known for performing magic and mentalism across India. He created his first television special "Mystical stranger" in 2012 which was broadcast across North India which eventually gave him name and success in magic. He is known for combining closeup magic and clever effects in the mysterious style to create an act of illusion. He combines ancient magic of India with a modern twist for his audience. He has performed in institutes across India including IITs NPCIL TEDx India and Indian Army. He's also a creator of theatre show "Mind control: A night of illusions" in which he performs the lead role of an illusionist. He popularized magic across India and take it to a whole new level. He is the only illusionist from India to win Ripley's Believe it or not talent hunt and represented India internationally in the field of magic and illusion. He has also performed in India's got talent alongside Akshay Kumar and has helped many movie directors to portray the role of magicians for many actors. Early life Pandita was born in a middle-class family in Kashmir where his father was the government employee and mother house maker. There was a time when Kashmir was fuming with terrorism and violence during that period of time Preveen was motivated to world of arts and he strongly believe that only the power of pen can overcome the power of terror and he was fascinated by magic since childhood, He used to perform small slieght of hand tricks with small objects and food items to impress girls in his school. His main early life influences were David Copperfield and David Blaine. He was fascinated by magic since childhood and wanted to discover all the secrets of magic which got his intense interest in it. He would practice magic by closing his eyes and believing he will fly in the air with the power of magic. He has been developing his own brand of magic for people of all types in ages from past several years and has made many crowd pulling events and celebrity showcases and has performed more than 700+ live shows. Awards and recognition Pandita has won many awards which include winning a trip to , most entertaining illusionist of the year by JK channel, and has received honors from IIT Guwahati and Indian Army for his contributions in Magic. His upcoming projects include walk on water over Arabian Sea, changing the colour of sky and performing live magic for 24 hours non-stop and entering into the Guinness book of records for longest non-stop performance. Humanitarian causes Pandita does philanthropic work and shows across India for disabled people and has invented many tricks for differently abled people and believes that magic in the lives of these people bring happiness.
