Pradhanmantri is an Indian television documentary that premiered on the 24 hour Hindi news channel ABP News,on July 13, 2013. It aims to bring to the audience the never seen before facets of Indian history. Initially conceptualised for 23 episodes, the weekly programme will chronicle the history of India from 1947 to the present day. The docu-drama will be hosted by the renowned film-maker, actor and now host Shekhar Kapur. The show is a unique attempt to present the changes in the country during the tenures of 13 Indian Prime Ministers in the last 65 years. The show is aired every Saturday at 10 PM on ABP news. Reception Social Media The show noticed a huge engagement on social media with the hash tag #Pradhanmantri trending on Twitter for over 4 days in India on its launch.
