Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect is Ericom Software's flagship product line providing enterprise-wide access solutions, with on-demand access to Windows desktops and applications, legacy hosts and more. Part of Ericom's PowerTerm series of products, PowerTerm WebConnect enables secure, managed access from a variaty of end-user devices, such as personal computer's and thin client's, to the organization's line of business applications. These applications are hosted and run on central servers while the clients provide only the user interface. To the users, however, the applications would appear as if they are installed and running on their local device (seamless desktop integration). According to Butler Group, Ericom PowerTerm WebConnect Enterprise is a departure from other offerings in the market of application access technologies by enabling "users of server-based computing to benefit from delivery of legacy-based, as well as Windows-based, applications within a single desktop interface in which all applications share common behaviour". Competition Ericom positions its PowerTerm WebConnect product line as the alternative to Citrix Presentation Server and Citrix Desktop Server. In addition PowerTerm WebConnect provides access to various types of legacy hosts, competing with web-to-host products such as IBM Host On Demand.
