PowerFolder is a program that synchronizes files and folders over the internet or a LAN. For this program to work, it must be installed on all computers that will share the files. There is a free version distributed as open source (GPL) software. The free version is limited to 3 folders and 1 GB or on-line storage. All versions are limited to 5 computers. Features ;File synchronization :It is possible to synchronize one or more computers with PowerFolder. Login with the same username/password is required to take part in the same synchronization. ;Private file sharing :Only people that the user invites can download privately shared files. The user must send an invitation via e-mail or another method. Once sharing one's files, another user may freely choose to invite other people. ;Online file backup :PowerFolder automatically backs up data online or to another computer, at scheduled times or on request from the user. ;File access via web browser :Files shared with PowerFolder can be accessed via web browser on a password protected webpage. Uses * File Synchronization: Synchronizes multiple computers. Whenever a file on one is changed, the other computer will be updated. * File sharing: Documents, music, pictures, videos and more. * Online Storage: PowerFolder can automatically backup files to a secure online space.
