Pora Valit is a popular Russian blog which has sprung up through social networks in Russia. The name "pora valit" means "time to shove off" in English and has been used to describe the zeitgeist of the Russian middle-class youth population. The blog itself has a few thousand users and is used for people to share stories about why and how best to leave Russia - this has been considered a sign of social apathy in Russia due to a slowing economy and political corruption. The Economist states that "the blog’s title sums up perfectly the mood among Russia’s urban and educated class." Since January 2015 Pora Valit is ranked first on Cyrillic LiveJournal community rating
