Poo Girl

Charlotte Taylor; born 1991, better known as Poo Girl, became famous in 2009 after becoming stuck in a toilet at the 2009 Leeds Festival. Charlotte lives in East Boldon, near Sunderland and works as an Apprentice in Specsavers.
The Incident
During Leeds Festival 2009, Charlotte Taylor became stuck head first in a toilet seat located within the toilet block of the Yellow Bubble Campsite. After using the facilities, Charlotte proceeded to exit the toilet swinging her body around to open the door. Her handbag then slipped of her shoulder and fell down into the sewage below.. As the bag contained Charlotte's mobile phone, money and train ticket, Charlotte felt it necessary to retrieve the bag. After Initial attempts using one arm to retrieve the bag Charlotte placed both her arms down the toilet and in turn became stuck head first in the toilet.
The on-site fire crew was called in to help and after 20 minutes Charlotte was freed from the toilet. Charlotte did sustain minor bruises to arms and after being hosed down returned to the festival.
Aftermath
Before the Kings of Leon had finished their set on the final night of the festival, a Facebook 'appreciation' group had been set up, and was already generating interest. The day after the Festival the hype surrounding 'Poo Girl' had attracted the attention of Sky News . Charlotte's online 'appreciation' groups now total nearly 20,000 members, a number far greater than the amount in the Yellow Bubble Camp site.
