PodSite

Description
PodSite (short for Podcast Site) is a term, or buzz word, used to define a website which has a primary service of authoring or publishing podcasts and/or videocasts. PodSite websites may publish their podcasts on a particular schedule, such as daily, weekly, or other chronological intervals.
Technology and History
While podcast sites have been popularized within recent years by sites like Internet Business Mastery, labeling a website as a PodSite first occurred in late 2007, with the creation of websites such as BowCast.com, an Archery Podcast Site for the New School Archery Hunter. BowCast.com was developed in mid-2007 by PrairieWolf Designs.
Since BowCast.com, other PodSites have begun to replicate such technology and use - to further support current Web2.0 technologies on the web. PodSites can be developed on an open-source platform (see demonstration) to reduce development effort and budgets, or on virtually any other data-driven platform.
