GOSS Interactive is a company that supplies and delivers online efficiency savings, digital marketing and a Content Management System. GOSS iCM (intelligent Content Management) is used to maintain websites and intranets. GOSS iCM can be found running hundreds of websites, including the Met Office, Brittany Ferries and South West Water plus several shared service venutres with Local Authorities. History GOSS Interactive was founded to support the sailing project of Pete Goss, by Rob McCarthy and Richard George in 1999. Today, GOSS is still owned by the same two directors, without any venture capital funding and has grown to over 50 employees. The company is based in Plymouth, UK and all of its staff and secure data centre are located there. GOSS developers' work focuses on the core product as well as 3rd party integrations, mobile apps and semantic tools for auto-suggestion of related content and publishing open linked data. GOSS is an early adoptor of the open source IKS project which aims to being semantic technology to web content managment tools.GOSS is a direct supplier of services, carries out 3rd party and offers a Microsoft SharePoint connector and a Lagan integration as standard modules. The original web content management system launched was called Controlsite and re-branded to GOSS iCM (intelligent Content Management) in 2005 and is currently supplied as version 9.1. In July 2010 GOSS iCM version 9 was released. This version has user friendly WYSIWYG controls that empower an unlimited number of non-technical individuals, groups and departments to effortlessly manage and deliver content to Web 2.0 websites, portals, intranets and extranets in a secure and flexible environment. Service delivery is enhanced with a drag-drop form builder that can publish multi-page and branching forms. There is a tighter integration of their metadata and content suggestion tool iSuggest that learns with user interaction. As a browser based system compatible with all leading browser programmes, GOSS iCM easily fits in with IT infrastructures without the need to install applications on individual workstations. Templates Templates are used for websites managed with GOSS iCM. Several of which are open source, allowing users to develop and share service costs.
