Plano Mall

Plano mall is considered to many people as a dead mall in Plano, Texas.
History
The mall first opened in 1988. The first store to open the mall up was Lord & Taylor. The American Carousel ride attraction first opened up in 1991 along with kiddie rides, a Chuck E. Cheeses, AMC Theaters movie theater, and a lounge. Eventually, the lounge was removed in 1996 due to customer concerns. There were 2 McDonald's in the mall. One went out in mid-1996 when they had vacancy problems. Then in 2009, they added a pet store and Panera Bread.
Vacancy Problems
Ever since mid-1996, the mall started to have vacancy problems. In that same year, Blockbuster, Game Stop, Hallmark Cards, Burger King, the second Mcdonald's (now there's 1), Origins, and Le Cafe Petite all were vacant in the mall. As of 2009, currently, there are 8 vacant stores.

Entertainment Level- Level 3
Ever since the Chuck E. Cheeses, AMC Theaters, and the lounge opened in 1991, there was a level now called the Entertainment Level. Where shoppers have a variety of entertainment in their hands and they can eat, shop, and play all day long. Before it was named the Entertainment Level, they only had a Pizza Hut, KFC, Mcdonald's (second one), Origins cosmetic store, and a security office.
