Pinch Off

Pinch Off is a type of bread baked in a dutch oven and therefore suitable for campfire and chuck wagon cooking. The technique below assumes the use of sourdough; however, it can be made with any dough recipe. Batter is not suitable.
Technique
#Create dough according to your favorite recipe. The quantity should be enough for one layer in your dutch oven.
#"Pinch off" biscuit or dinner roll sized portions.
#Completely coat sections in oil and arrange in dutch oven.
#Let rise until double.
#Cover the dutch oven and bake according to your recipe.
Product
When you view the product in the pan, it will look like they have baked together. However, the oil is keeping them from sticking together. When you remove the bread from the pan, each roll will separate from each other.
