Piakai Henkel

Piakai Henkel (born 11 March 1995) is an American footballer who plays for Fagiano Okayama FC as a forward
Henkel grew up in California and played prep soccer at Arcata High School. At the age of 12, he played for the California Olympic Development Team. When he turned 15, Henkel moved to France to play for Paris SG’s U17 academy team for two seasons.
In 2012, Henkel moved to Amiens SC and signed a developmental contract to play for their U19 academy team. During this period, Henkel was also called up to play for the US Men’s National U18 and U19 teams in several international friendlies against teams such as the Netherlands, France and Canada.
During the summer of 2013, Henkel received an invitation to come and train with J. League Division 2 side Fagiano Okayama FC. Henkel made a good impression and was transferred to the Japanese team. In 2014, after proving himself to the coaching staff, Henkel signed his first senior professional contract with Fagiano Okayama.
