Philip Diggle ( Manchester, 1961 ) is an English abstract painter. Early life and education Diggle attended Manchester Grammar school and graduated from Chelsea School of Art (Fine Art).. He began his career in 1976, as part of the punk movement, making painting live on stage at music gigs (his brother was a member of the Buzzcocks). Career Diggle spent the 80s and 90s painting, including more 'live' painting. His paintings adorn the homes of many private collectors. Since 1989 Diggle has been an art teacher, becoming Head of Art at Highbury Grove School, in Islington, London. |
