Pete Cortlandt

Peter "Petey" William Cortlandt is a character on the soap opera All My Children. He was originally portrayed by Jack McKillop (1997-1999), then by Casey Gunther (1999-2002), by Mitchel Federan in 2003, and was portrayed most recently by Daniel Kennedy from July 11, 2008 to October 30, 2009.
Brief character history
Peter's mother, Opal, gets pregnant with him late in life and receives the "blessed news" after she has begun menopause. Peter's father Palmer Cortlandt (born Pete Cooney) accuses Opal of infidelity, since he has been previously left sterile decades earlier after a horseback riding accident. After Joe Martin runs a few tests, it is determined that Palmer is not sterile after all and that he is indeed the father of Peter. As a gift to her husband, Opal gives the child a variation of Palmer's original name, Pete Cooney.
As a 18-year-old, Peter returns shortly after the death of Richie Novak in 2008. He meets with his old friend Colby Chandler, whom he has a crush on.
