Percutaneous Hydrotomy
Is a therapeutic technique, created by the French Doctor Bernard Guez in 1985 which consists of a percutaneous or intradermal injection of normal saline in accordance with the AMM (French Medical And Marketing Authority) which permits the concomitant or secondary administration of medication with proven scientific properties. The "hydrotomy cushion" thereby created, enables the product used to target the lesion by a loco-regional diffusion technique. It can be applied by either a continuous or intermittent sessions in the hospital setting or in the doctor's office. This therapy is used in the treatment of herniated discs, Arthritis, Spinal stenosis, Low back pain, Tinnitus, carpal tunnel syndrome, temporamandibular disorders and chronic back pain among others.
