Penzance Cricket Club

Penzance Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based in Penzance, Cornwall. The club was originally founded in 1829.
The club's colours are Maroon, Gold & Black and the club crest is the 'Lamb and Flag'. The club's Latin motto is "Quod: Improbum Terret: Probo: Prodest", which translates to English language as "For the reward of the good and the dread and terror and terror of the bad". The motto is taken from the Penzance Borough Coat of Arms.
The club plays its home fixtures at the St. Clare ground and has 4 youth teams and 4 senior teams.
Up until the late 1990s, Penzance's St. Clare ground was used to host Cornwall County Cricket Club's Minor Counties fixtures.
Current team
Penzance Cricket Club's 1st XI will compete in the second tier of the Cornwall Cricket League in 2012, having finished the 2011 domestic league season in tenth place.
