Peer Syed Abdullah Shah was the first to introduce Matam and Azardari to Talagang. Talagang is knowns as tehsil talagang which is included in Chakwal district in Punjab.
There was no other Shia in the Chakwal area until Peer Syed was called upon to revolutionise and educate the people of the Talagang district.<ref name="syed ijlal abbas"/> Talagang is known as tehsil talagang which is included in district chakwal in punjab.<ref name="talagangazadari.com"/> It was said that after Peer Syed brought about change to the Muslims and educated them thus Talagang was converted to a Hussainiath district. Now every year in Muharram in the remembrance of the Ahlulbayt and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, there is Majlis, Matam, Jaloos and Zanjeer. The population of Talagang is now over 96.3% shia.<ref name="syed ijlal abbas"/> After Peer Syed died, the mourning lasted fourteen months; it was said that people from all over the country of Pakistan came to pay their last respects.
