Paul Vitale (born April 12, 1972) is an American professional speaker and author. Vitale's books include Are You Puzzled by the Puzzle of Life?, Pass It On and Sell With Confidence. He founded Vital Communications, Inc. in 1996.
Early life
Born in Russellville, Arkansas, Vitale attended Russellville High School and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in mass communications and journalism. He overcame a learning disability (phonemic awareness, the failure to recognize vowel sounds) and speech impediment and went on to become a professional speaker.
Career
Vitale started speaking professionally while still in high school. After graduating from UCA he began a marketing career with Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods. While at CJRW, Vitale provided marketing to tourism regions in the state of Arkansas.
In 1998, Vitale left CJRW and embarked on a nationwide book tour after publishing his first book, Are You Puzzled by the Puzzle of Life?
Upon returning to Arkansas, Vitale became the Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Hot Springs, Arkansas. As Director, he was responsible for assisting with the national and international public relations program of Hot Springs National Park, America’s oldest national park.
In 2003, Vitale left Hot Springs CVB to begin speaking professionally on a full-time basis. His presentations deal with subjects such as leadership and character development. Other motivational speakers with similar styles include Zig Ziglar and Mark Victor Hansen. In 2004, Vitale created a program for students, A Hero Within-Today's Youth, Tomorrow's Leaders which has been implemented in junior and senior high schools across a wide geographical area. He is also a personal growth coach and facilitator and is sourced for opinion on varying topics.
Signature Program
A Hero Within-Today's Youth, Tomorrow's Leaders was developed to be used in education to afford youth the opportunities needed to take strides in life, learning and legacy. The program's vision is to provide a life strategy for students to grow and improve personally, emotionally and intellectually. The program consists of curriculum, training for students, parents and school personnel, student clubs and philanthropic opportunities.

Are You Puzzled by the Puzzle of Life?
In its fifth printing, Vitale published Are You Puzzled by the Puzzle of Life? in 1998. It discusses the topics of protecting one’s reputation, taking personal and professional risks, and nurturing relationships.
Pass It On
(2002) This book is a collection of inspirational and motivational quotes from a variety of people. It contains quotes from individuals such as Dorothy Day, George Bernard Shaw, Martin Luther King Jr., Charles Darwin and John F. Kennedy.
Sell With Confidence
The book's cover states, "Vitale will help unlock your sales potential through the fundamentals found between the covers of Sell With Confidence." (2009) Primarily a business book, it contains sections dealing with customer service and presentation skills.
