Party President

The party president (also known as the party leader or party chair) is the presiding officer and most powerful official of a political or parliamentary party.
The major difference of a party president and a party leader/ party chairman, is that the president often is both chairman of the partys executive board and at the same time the party leader who's representing the party outwards.
Having av party president, and not both a organizational chairman and a party leader is more common in the nordic parties where the partys prime minister candidate, is the partys board chairman. Therefor, the title party president is more common. That could be compared with the american, and southern european systems where the partys chairman often has a more organizational role, while the party is nominating their candidate for president/prime minister separately. In other countries, it's the majority leader who's the partys candidate for head of government.
In the nordic countries, it's the party secretary/chief secretary general who's responsible for the organization and economy, instead of the chairman.
The partys president have a different amount of power dependent on the partys structure and organization. In the most green partys, the party soughts a flat organization and instead, the leadership consist of two or more spokespersons and a organizational convenor. In other partys, like the Danish People's Party, the structures explicit soughts to be hierarchic and therefor the party president got a lot of personal power.
Often the party also got a president and secretary-general at regional and local level.
