It is one of 29 elementary schools in the city belonging to the Fremont Unified School District. The principal of Parkmont Elementary is Marianne Schmidt. Parkmont is part of the Washington Attendance area, and goes to Washington High School and Centerville Junior High School. They offer a drama program for children in grades fourth through sixth and a chorus program for third through sixth graders. They have an after-school band program for beginners and intermediate children. Parkmont has also won the California Distinguished School award twice in 2000 and 2006. |
