Rhodes Junior High World Studies Academy is a secondary public junior high school that is a part of the Mesa Unified School District, located in the city of Mesa in Arizona. The school is named for John Jacob Rhodes. Rhodes serves grades 7-9. Enrollment for the 2005-2006 school year is approximately 1200 students. All freshmen students go to Dobson High School (10-12). Rhodes Junior High is a comprehensive junior high with a tradition of core academic instruction with an array of elective course offerings. World Studies Academy In 2008 Rhodes decided to make a World Studies Academy which requires all students to take 7 classes. They require every student to take a world language. Their choices are Spanish, French, and Chinese. 7-8 As of the 2010-11 school year Rhodes will no longer have 9th graders after a school board decision January 1, 2010
