Park Street Advisors

Park Street Advisors is headquartered in Miami, FL and was founded in 2004 by McKinsey & Company alumni, Dr. Harry Kohlmann and Mr. Juan Fernando Valdivieso. The firm originally specialized in McKinsey-style management and strategy consulting as well as business building initiatives. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms to hedge funds, entrepreneurs, and early stage ventures.
The firm is known to co-invest with clients and also launch new businesses for its own and client accounts. One such project was Gulf Housing Solutions in the UAE, an investment vehicle targeting housing opportunities in the Middle East. The investment generated returns of more than 4x and included a $180 million capital raise.
Dr. Kohlmann took a sabbatical from Park Street from 2006 to 2008, during which time he served as a Managing Director at Sheffield Asset Management, a $600 million long-short value-oriented investment fund based in Chicago, IL. While at Sheffield, Dr. Kohlmann executed and oversaw investments in North America and Europe.
Beginning in 2008, Park Street moved more heavily towards business building and operating engagements on behalf of clients and its own account. Over the next two years, the firm launched and invested in a series of portfolio or affiliate companies, including Park Street Imports (wine and spirits importing), Park Street Financial Services, Park Street Health Services (health care distribution), Park Street Digital (online marketing and customer acquisition) and BioHaven Environmental Solutions (environmental technology). In addition, the firm maintains active China and Middle East practices, working with clients to develop market entry strategies and platforms.
A number of the firm’s current and former partners and associates are McKinsey alumni.
Current executive management of the firm includes CEO Dr. Harry Kohlmann and COO Mr. Chris Mehringer.
