PageLens

PageLens refers to the browser plug-in that allows users
to highlight a word or phrase and right-click to launch the PageLens player. A small pop-up window appears over the document or page. User see the definition by default and have the option to select the same search for a video on the topic, an active chat conversation or discussion forum. The design of the PageLens application is educational in nature, allowing users to stay on the article or page, perform a contextual search intended to add context or deeper understanding to the material they are viewing without having to leave the page and conduct standard internet searches.

PageLens is currently in Beta testing and works only in Internet Explorer. PageLens developers intend to continue to develop the application to work within the FireFox and Safari browsers.
