Kalee Carey

Kalee Beth Carey (born November 16,1984 in Amarillo, Texas) is an American basketball player. Collegiately, she played at West Texas A&M University and the University of Texas.

Early career
Kalee was born on November 6,1984, the daughter of Linda and Darrell Carey and grew up ninety minutes north of Lubbock in the small town of Canyon, Texas. She is the oldest of three children and has two sisters. She was good at basketball as a teenager, she was seen by many as the best player in her field, in her area. In the second grade, she wore a size seven women's shoe and in sixth grade, she was over six foot one and wore a size fourteen women's shoe (eleven inches long).

High school career
Kalee studied at Canyon Texas High school and graduated in 2003.

College career
Kalee is described as a good shooter, and is a hard matchup for opponents. While at university she played for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas. On December 06, 2005, Carey announced she was leaving the team.

As a Freshman (2003-2004)
*Appeared in 13 games in a reserve role, averaging 3.2 ppg, 2.2 rpg and 6.3 minutes per game
*Scored twice in double figures, netting 11 points against Navy (November 28) and 10 points against Texas-Pan American (December 17)
*Also had a season-best rebounds against UT-Pan American with seven
