Padmalal Sandungahawatte (also known as Senarath Padmalal Sandungahawatte and L P S P Sandungahawatta) is a Deputy Inspector-General of Police in Sri Lanka. Early life and education Padmalal was educated at Nalanda College Colombo . While at school he had been a Senior Prefect and athlete claiming colours at Sri Lankan Schools' and cadet corps for Nalanda. Career Padmalal Sandungahawatte joined Special Task Force of Sri Lanka Police as a Sub Inspector of Police and has served in various capacities. He also served as the Assistant Superintendent of Police in charge of operations of Prime Minister’s Security Division, Moneragala District (1), Ministerial Security Division and the Parliament Division. Padmalal was also one time Police Children and Women Bureau’s Chief. |
