PADB is a debugger written by Ashley Pittman for the parallel computer programs. This is one of the basic tool for checking the errors associated with MPI codes. It originated as a tool for debugging collective operations as part of the Quadrics software stack, and with Quadrics ceasing trading is now an active open-source project of its own under the LGPL license. It is usable on a range of job control systems and a wide variety of parallel libraries, including all of the major MPI stacks. The original version as released by Quadrics is still available from the Vega website, who took over maintenance of the Quadrics software stack.
