Oyuny Chadvar is a youth-run organization in Mongolia, established in 2006. Its goal is to develop and build the capacity of youth, to help them gain leadership abilities, and to combat unemployment. As well, it attempts to aid development in Mongolia through a peer-to-peer training model. The organization has trained 13,000 youth and has 14 aimags and 30 soums. Training also focuses on imparting basic professional skills, such as goal setting, teamwork, and public speaking skills, which are vital for professional employment. This is important because there is a great lack of vocational training capacity for youth in Mongolia. At the same time, employers are facing a serious shortage of skilled employees, and require that vital professional skills to be taught to young people.
