Oxana Jad (* 1979 in Moscow) is a Russian artistic-photographer specializing in psychological portraits and picturesque landscapes. She lives and works in Germany and Spain. Life and work Oxana Jad studied sculpture, multimedia and photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. Subsequently she studied Photography and Intermedia at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. She received her Masters degree under Prof. Eberhard Bosslet at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. The focus of Oxana Jad’s work is the development of artistic intermedia work complexes which deal with the subject of body-image-identity. She is thereby particularly interested in the human psyche in terms of philosophical, religious and mythological aspects; the exploration of the body and its social codes within an ethnic, historical and art-historical context; interpersonal actions; and the idea of the human body with respect to advanced scientific research and discoveries. Gallery Exhibitions and awards Oxana Jad’s works have been made available to a wide audience in numerous solo and group exhibitions. In 2006 and 2011 she took part in the Biennale of contemporary art in St. Petersburg (Russia). In addition, her photographic work has been exhibited in galleries in Europe and the USA and in public and private collections, such as the government building in Karlsruhe and in the collection Angerlehner in Austria.
